Once again the citizens of Fredericton area have proven why we get bypassed by great musical acts such as Elton John and the Eagles.
On July 12 there was a fundraising concert for the Canadian Red Cross, called Floodstock, for the flood victims of this year's devastation of the St. John River.
There were six recording bands that played for nine hours and a little over 200 people showed up, most of them from outside the city.
This event got provincial coverage on two television networks and five radio stations. The promoters were shocked at the lack of support and doubt they will attempt another concert such as this in this area.
Is it any wonder that we don't have large concerts or sports teams here? Where were you?
