The Ford Escape has just had an underhood update, and will be fitted with more advanced powertrain technology for the 2009 model year to enable higher performance and better fuel mileage. The base four cylinder engine grows in size to 2.5 litres, generating an increased 171 horsepower while turning in more economical operation.
